Hi everyone, I'm a long time music/ HiFi addict, new to Emotiva with the addition of my XMC-1 (reconditioned). My main system is used 80%music 20%TV. JBL speakers for main system and in living room. I have much to learn moving from a B&K Reference 20 to the XMC. My first impressions are I've gone to another level , the clarity, definition and spatial qualities are amazing. I've used an XPS-1 for about 2 years, its sounds better too. I look forward to learning how use the XMC from the forums.

Welcome Dave,
The XMC-1 is a very stellar piece for 2ch use given it's a surround processor, I have one as well that pulls double duty.

Don't count on anything being here except for ending up becoming a Nut and mostly full of Schiit! Good Morning to All!
Newbie and oldbie here. I posted here a long time ago, when I had a better ear for music, hearing is still good, music ear, well that is a different story. Age
It's always great to see upgraded technology and drool. Makes you think new is better, but not all the time, that's for sure.
Just wanted to say hello and will be yacking soon.

Makes you think new is better, but not all the time, that's for sure.” “WHAT WE HAVE HERE IS A FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE” I don’t recall WHO coined the phrase but that, (in a nutshell) is my biggest gripe with technology of the last 15 years or so. Such a battle to enable all competing manufacturers to “talk” to each other without a hitch via HDMI. Pain in the ass….yes. Would I give it up and go back? Not a chance. |
