(Title is work in progress, not sure about the terminology.)
Took me a while to figure out but I can now easily reproduce an audio loss with the MC-700 which might be a bug.
When this happens: 1. MC-700 losses audio 2. Only turning it off and then back on brings the audio back
How to reproduce: 1. Open Netflix (not in full screen) and play some content, MC-700 will display the mode and resolution information. 2. Quickly, while the mode and resolution information is still displayed, click full screen on Netflix 3. Audio will be lost until turning the MC-700 off and back on
Switching Netflix to Full Screen after the mode information is gone works fine.
I know that Netflix changes modes or resync (not sure about the term) when going full screen. I suspect that resyncing the MC-700 while it still displaying the mode information from previous sync is triggering this bug.
Source Details: HTPC, nVidia HDMI (allow exclusive mode)
I will test with more apps that can quickly change mode/resolutions (perhaps Roon) but this issue happened with not just Netflix, now I just figured exactly when it happens and how to reproduce.
Could be a bug?

Try switching the input of the MC-700 back and forth instead of turning it off and on - that should also help to force a resync.

Have had the same issue with my MC-700. My source is PS4, I can be watching Netflix or any other app and it will work fine. However when I want to watch Blu Ray I get some kind of hiss sound. Once the machine is rebooted it works fine. It also does it when advancing the movie. So I can't jump scenes or fast forward. I think it is just a flaw in the MC-700 but any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking about replacing because of this issue.
