Hi I have XMC-2 and 3 subwoofers, which is best way to connect them.
Right now I have them connected as
Centre mono (XLR cable)
Left/right dual mono (XLR Cable)

That way redirected bass would go to the two (dual mono) subs and anything on the .1 LFE track would go to the center connected sub. There is no right or wrong way. Try it both ways and see which you like best. |

Keep in mind that Dirac sees each output of the processor as an individual speaker, so when all 3 subwoofers play the same mono signal together there can easily be interactions that can cause interaction issues. There are other possibilities with regard to how Dirac adjusts volume level based on total system calibration. Also, it would be good to know complete system info including the source material - movie, music, etc, and which audio mode was being used at the time. |

Hi,
I ran Ran Dirac few times, thinking I was doing something wrong. After few guidance from the forum members (Marc) got few tips. Now I have managed to get a bit of boost after this setting and using 6db Harman curve.
PRESET 1 (Movies)
Front mains set to Large as Dirac default show it goes down 23hz.
Centre set to 40Hz as Dirac default show it goes down 23hz.
Surrounds to 50Hz as Dirac default show it goes down 35hz.
Heights to 90Hz as Dirac default show it goes down 80hz.
On two subs Low pass filter set 200Hz. Dirac Curve set 16hz to 130hz
Third Sub curve set 20Hz to 130Hz Sperate Group.
Processor setting 24db/ Crossover
All Sub set to Mono / dual Mono
I had to increase 3db on Processor Level. don't know if is correct way do it
Preset 2 (Music)
Default Dirac Curve
Fronts set to Large
Processor setting 24db/ Crossover
All Sub set to Mono / dual Mono.
Slowly I am getting the result of my system to sound good, learning a lot and helpful members.
