ā. . . or did we . . .?š±ā For sure but James Bond was actually the first to set foot Some additional information after some virtual digging which may be considered one of the first ancient space programs and inspiration to later generations : An ancient teaching later conveyed by a legendary actor: And the first to experience space and technically nothingness in America's space program: And remember, Don't concentrate on the finger. Don't think but feeeeeellllllll. And never take your eyes off your opponent, Even when slapped while bowing.

I actually am more impressed by looking up at the moon on a clear night and remembering.....we actually WENT there. . . . or did we . . .?š± Yes, but credible sources [Google's image search] shows moments after the publicly released film was cut: Don't concentrate on me nor at the direction of my humor but experience a fleeting moment of laughter.

How long will we be able to see them close together like this? Over the next week or so they will still be very close.

. . . or did we . . .?š± Yes we did go to the moon. we sent a slow moving probe back to earth from the last trip to the moon. one carrying an exotic virus which would take 47 years to reach Earth then disperse in the atmosphere over east Asia sadly the COVID conspiracy theorists are half right. YIKES! . . . didn't see THAT coming . . . š±

Which half? A government conspiracy or an allusion to a plague being poured from a heavenly vial? Enticing my curiosity, markc! P.S. Not drawing half a fish on the ground before you.

Awesome!!! Remember when the Hubble was first placed in outer space? Soon after another mission followed to fit the Hubble w/ a contact lens. If I recall right the original machining of the lens didn't account for the force of gravity on earth and then in a non gravity environment.

A very impressive fix to be sure!

But did you then experience any Earth-shattering miracles.... other than not throwing up? It's humorous to me how some are making the GREAT CONJUNCUION (tm) out to be some hugely significant event that will light up the sky like a fireball and cause mere mortals to quake in terror and fall prostrated onto the ground. I've fallen prostrate on the ground once or twice after getting lit on Sky and Fireball once or twice.

As I recall the correction was to fix a mirror segment that was incorrectly ground during manufacture.
The way that gravity fit into the problem was that, since the mirror was designed to operate in zero gravity, it could not first be assembled and tested on the ground. And, because of that, the flaw wasn't detected until the first pictures were taken, and came back a little bit fuzzier than had been hoped for. Once it was detected, and figured out, the correction was calculated, and another part was modified to compensate for the error.
