Hey guys, I haven't lurked these forums in a long time. I apologize if this was asked years ago. My search queries weren't giving me helpful results. When I came across this thread, I began to remember the "upgrade for life" that was mentioned "back in the days". How do I know if I am qualified for this? I purchased the Emotiva LMC-1/LPA-1 combo back in the AVS123 days, and also the Emotiva UMC-1 back when FW wasn't very stable.

I called Emotiva who confirmed that I was enrolled in the "upgrade for life" program not too long ago.

The most thorough information can be found HERE in this post by Dan Laufman. It is important to note that you must be the "original" purchaser of the processor to qualify. The UFL program ended to new purchasers and/or qualifying products after April 30, 2015. So, as long as you're the original purchaser, you're in...

Allow me to be more clear: Lifetime means the shortest of yours, the component’s or Emotiva’s..,., All of which eventually reach an "end of life" stage in development.

Thanks all! Have to admit I didn't expect to see so many replies. I think I got my money's worth with my Emo UMC-1 + Sanyo PLV-Z3000 setup. Now I'm considering the XMC-2 with "Upgrade-for-Life" discount for next year.

How do I apply the UFL discount? I went to emotiva.com/account/login#recover to reset my password. I entered 2 different email addresses that I may have used back when I made the UMC-1 purchase, but none of them were associated with an account. Then again, I don't remember how I purchased the UMC-1 from Emotiva. May have been over the phone back then. Looks like if I create a new account, the account will not have my old purchase history.

It should be in your file under your name. I’ve not made all of my purchases on line and all of my gear is in my file, last I checked. No reason to believe it’s not still there. Give Emotiva a call Monday. Nick

You don't "apply". They should have records of your UMC-1 purchase. Just call them. Mark
