Notified through my bank today that the second round of stimulus checks are approved and being processed. For more information visit the IRS' site: www.irs.gov/coronavirus/economic-impact-paymentsSo what are you planning to do w/ your checks? I plan to pay down some current financial obligations. Boring I know, no audio equipment on the wish list at this time. Please, no political updates or discussions [don't inform me on what is attached to the check as ignorance is bliss]. I've unplugged from all social media and any news publications. In other words I don't want to know. |

I don't expect to get one. Since I had virtually no income this year, I withdrew some from my IRA. But since our government, in their infinite wisdom, considers IRA withdrawals as income, I get to not only pay taxes on the money I withdrew, but also lost out on the second stimulus check!
Bah - Humbug.

Bah - Humbug. But remember that the money that went into the IRA account was treated as a deduction from taxable income. IRA's are tax deferral vehicles - the government gets you sooner or later. |

It depends on how much I get, give some to my son's mother, since we are separated and I want to keep the car on an agreement between us....of course I could buy some explosives and give them to her on Christmas...lol...she's keeping one car, and we agreed I'm keeping the one I want...

The President hasn’t signed the bill and it appears he will veto it unless $600 is upped to $2,000 and the billions in pork are eliminated. So no checks yet.

I hope that people who really need a stimulus check get one, and that the graft and corruption among companies and organizations that did not need help but who found ways to claim it that plagued the first round of government stimulus programs does not come back to exploit this one.
