Hey all, thought I'd show off a remodel/custom install project. Re-did our family room into a stereo home-theater setup w/ builtin speakers (in wall) & subwoofers (in ceiling). The A/V equipment is mounted vertically hidden away in an alcove behind the TV, which includes the Emotiva PT-100 receiver and A-300 amplifier. Everything sounds really good, except the amplifier has a resonance with the subwoofers. I'm not talking any electrical issue here, but there's a component inside the amp that is mechanically resonant (buzzes) with a particular bass note coming from the sub. I imagine that mounting vertically like I did is not very common, and perhaps contributes. Haven't had a chance to take the cover off and investigate further, but wondering if folks have any advice. I don't want to poke around too much inside the amp.
