I'm in need of an integrated amp for a 2.1 sound system for a workout room. The amp will be driving a pair of B1+ with a sub. Bluetooth is a must with a digital input to take the sound from a TV or maybe a CD player. I know the TA-100 has a tuner built in, but I would mainly stream music via bluetooth. Any experience with either of these and recommendations? I'd like to stay at the TA-100 price of $400. Thx

Well this is not easy. Good choices usually are not. They are close here. I like the TA-100 power supply better as it uses a beefy Torroidal transformer for superior efficiency and low noise. Where the Denon is a conventional EI transformer. Filter capacitance is similar. The outputs I give the nod to the TA-100. I think you will feel the beef here with the TA-100. Where most manufacturers are cutting out the shizzle to cut costs and Denon is no exception. Sold Denon for over 10 years. I know this. Sound United is the USA distributor these days. They are not putting in what they used too. Emotiva hasn't cut anything out ever. Features wise both are competitive. But the amplifier stage at my opinion anyway is better in the Emotiva and the power supply too. You will do fine with either frankly. But the Emotiva is putting in more beef than the Denon is. Just my 2 cents.

I know that the DAC in the Ta-100 is pretty decent. I don’t know about the Denon’s DAC but that is something to consider when comparing both.

Per vcautokid's post, if you review the photos of the Denon vs. the TA-100, some differences are clear. Transformers (torroid vs EI) and the PCBA construction (the Denon looks like 2 layer PCB with lots of layer to layer stitching) vs at least a 4 layer board for the TA-100. The main power caps look like a toss up, but the heatsink in the TA-100 has more mass.

I am thinking of buying the same two components. I am looking for a little more warm sound signature. Emotiva more neutral or forward then Denon ? Matthew
