Just picked up a recertified XMC-1 and I after hooking it all up and turning it on I get 'err: init eda1". I searched the forum and the couple threads I found did not have any solutions and just said to call. Well I have been calling all day and all I get is a busy signal. Anybody have any suggestions on either getting through to Emotiva or how to fix the error?

Your heels until the next full regular business day. Bill

Emotiva not open on weekends or holidays. Cross your fingers someone like Keith gets online today.
Just a wild guess, Try: 1) rear power switch off, then hold front on switch & power back on to see what you get. 2) down load latest firmware 5.15 follow xn instructions and see if it loads. Just a W.A.G.

I look forward to what you hear. I have a new XMC-2 and it threw a similar error a couple times. It's not consistent, and I didn't write down the exact error either time. Now, I can't recall the last few letters, but I think mine was "eda2". And, of course, it has not done it since. I plan to call next week even if I can't recall the exact error code and it does not repeat.
On mine, I powered down via the back pwoer switch, waited a minute or so, and powered back up and it worked fine. Still - I want to know what's up.

At this point I'm happy I did not grab the XMC-1 deal.....I've got enough headaches with my XSP-1 G2 with it's power on when it's cold crap. There is NO reason this should not be plug & play for the original poster, it supposedly has been gone through and the latest upgrades applied. It's unacceptable actually.

So far a reboot via pressing and holding the front button has solved it. Let me know what you find out, por favor.

Yes I agree to try this boot up sequence in the interim to see if it will start up ( I knew somebody else here would recall it) but nothing with firmware until she’s up....I mean this is a recertified unit that just came home.
