Hi All,
So I have an XMC and USP, i use the USP as my analog preamp for my CD listening (via ERC-2). I get a ground hum only thru my Main speakers of my 5.1 setup. I have tested connecting the USP or the XMC directly to my amp there is no hum, but when the XMC is connected to the USP the hum presents itself. Both units are connected to the same outlet (bank) on my panamax. My thoughts is to maybe not use the USP anymore and connect the ERC via toslink and use the DACs on the XMC. Using ground loop isolator on the RCA connections will reduce it by 80%, but I am wondering can i ground the 2 units directly to each other to possibly eliminate the hum?
