Hi - I have the Fusion 8100 in my HT setup for the last 8+ years - and been enjoying its powerful amp section.
Recently, the sound levels suddenly dropped off. It barely sounds like it is at the 20 position even when pushed to the max 80. I was usually listening at the 40 position. I have a 3.1 setup and the volume loss is on all channels. I have also tested all inputs, and the loss is the same - including Coax input (using the built in DAC), Aux In, HDMI In and Bluetooth In.
To isolate if the issue in the Pre or Power stage, I took L/R out of the 7.1 Pre-out into a power amp and noticed the same volume loss. But the strangest thing is that I tried the reverse - input L/R channels on the 7.1 Pre-IN from a Pre-amp and same issue - very low volume.
So strangely - its all channels, all inputs, across pre and power stages. How can this be? Any advice?
Needless to say, I tried resetting the AVR to default, and have not made any other settings after reset. I have tried multiple speakers too.

Hi there - I also have the Fusion 8100 and experienced volume loss in the front left speaker back in 2017. I had to send in the unit for repairs which came back described as: "Replaced c7,18 caps on power supply, cmpt 5401,5551 transistors on amp module, repaired volume control." My unit was still under warranty and only had to pay shipping charges so not sure what repair costs would be but worth looking into.

Worth a call. Emotiva does have fixed repair costs that are reasonable if they still repair the unit.
