Hey All, Having a really odd thing happen here and I was hoping you could help out. My stereo system currently consists of a BasX PT-100 and an XPA-2. The issue I am having is when using my bluetooth adapter hooked up to the PT-100 the sound coming from the system is so bad that I am afraid to turn the speakers up at all. In fact I turned it down as quickly as possible as to not damage the speakers. When I switch to a different input the sound is fantastic. I checked all the connections etc and all is fine. I then replaced the XPA with my Schiit amplifier and no issues with the bluetooth sound. As soon as I go back to the XPA the bluetooth is unusable. Do you guys have any thoughts or input on this? Has anyone else had similar experiences? I am using the Monoprice "Premium Bluetooth 5" receiver: www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=38071Thank you, James

May be helpful if you clarify what sounds so bad means. Is it distorting? Is there a loud hum? Is there a high pitched noise? Is it a buzz? Is it intermitten, constant?

James - do you have a different bluetooth module you can substitute for the Monoprice? Are you connected via RCA (analog) or toslink? I don't understand why you would get noise with any amplifier, let alone just the XPA.... You can have interference from microwave ovens, if your cell phone is in your pocket, walls, etc. What is bizarre is that it seems to tie to the amp in use.

Hey Caw,
Thanks for the response Bud. I did go ahead and order the Outlaw bluetooth adaptor. I will get back to you once it comes in and I get to test it.
