Having a really odd thing happen here and I was hoping you could help out. My stereo system currently consists of a BasX PT-100 and an XPA-2.
The issue I am having is when using my bluetooth adapter hooked up to the PT-100 the sound coming from the system is so bad that I am afraid to turn the speakers up at all. In fact I turned it down as quickly as possible as to not damage the speakers. When I switch to a different input the sound is fantastic.
I checked all the connections etc and all is fine. I then replaced the XPA with my Schiit amplifier and no issues with the bluetooth sound. As soon as I go back to the XPA the bluetooth is unusable.
Do you guys have any thoughts or input on this? Has anyone else had similar experiences?
I am using the Monoprice "Premium Bluetooth 5" receiver:
May be helpful if you clarify what sounds so bad means. Is it distorting? Is there a loud hum? Is there a high pitched noise? Is it a buzz? Is it intermitten, constant?
