From reading your first post, I'm not sure if the Denon can but the RMC-1 can be set to bi-amp mode, you could have run the XPA-1's on the bass and the DR-2 on the mids/highs, wondering what that would have done Chad

I'm pretty sure I want to give Purifi/Hypex amps a run before committing to that. -- In regards to the Denon, yes, I owned that processor before my friend. It's fully configurable for bi-amping, and in fact I had it paired with the Denon POA-A1HDCI - a monster 10 channel amp that you could bridge for massive output. I was bi-amping it to run something like 750wpc to each of my mains, and still power my center and surrounds. I kind of regret letting go of it - but it was also hard to deal with like a ~160lbs amp. All good things must end.
