Hope someone can clarify a subwoofer related issue. I was going to buy. 15" sub from someone who was selling two of the same but he told me that I had to buy both of them because in a home theater setup you would need two subs otherwise there will be uneven response. Is this true? Thanks in advance for any help and stay safe everyone. It is true that two subs are generally better because they help even out the response curve in the room. But you should steer clear of this seller because he is dishonest. You do not NEED two subs, he's just trying to unload both of them on you to make it easier for himself. You can't trust someone like that so who knows what else he is lying to you about.

+1 to what What monkumonku said. But yes, I WOULD buy both subs if you can and I would buy it from that dude especially if he gives you a better deal. It will be well worth it. The guy is twisting the truth to push you into a sale but he is not completely wrong or lying. The frequnecy response can be more uneven with one sub versus two. i've listened to two 15" subs vs one 15 inch sub and it makes a really nice difference. It's just not ESSENTIAL to buy two. You can get by with one.

Personally I prefer one sub, setting up 2 or more can be a right royal PIA. If you have no experience with subs I’d suggest starting with 1, and if you are happy then don’t bother with more.
Cheers Gary

Well honesty is the best policy. What Monkumonku says. You will know what is right for your room. Never the seller. If you get 1 2 4 or whatever. Get what YOU want, not someone peddling product with no integrity.
