I made the mistake of going to EBAY and saw one of these meters for 250$
If you provide me a schematic, I'll build you one for that much and use better speaker wire connctors.

NO! RS Power Meter. You could probably get a decent 60mhz TekTronix for 250$ if you looked around......which would be MY choice for a basic scope.
Other than that? Possible to use a software based type......and a good PC with big display...Maybe my 2009 iMac?
