I'd get over 'cheap' in a hurry. build for quality, longevity and durabiliyt. I know stuff is expensive, but for Pete's Sake? You're going to own it for years. Twist it any way you want.....It's gonna last for years and be exactlly what you want........ Maybe a LESS expensive solution from IKEA? I used their 15" (give or take) wide bookshelves......3 per wall with a CD / DVD rack on the '45' between and held together with the IKEA brakcet set. I put the shevles on a 'footer' of 1z12 or so.....Melamine shelf with a 'corner' cut for the transition. Everything bolted to the wall AND I found pieces of which I only needed 4.....to bolt the sections to one another. Tight? And stuffed with books and media. I went ahead and bought the glass over panel DOORS and went to the home store for nice white ceramic knob / pulls. this wasnt' exactly cheap and I ended up taking hours to assemble ONE shelf at-a-time than dispose of a mountain of cardboard. I had to buy extra shelves and even after giving away a LOT of books, I'm still short of space. Old bookshelves? One given away and the OTHER bolted to the wall in the garage and used as a Pantry. www.ikea.com/us/en/cat/cube-storage-55012/
