“The Kimber Kable Wiring Set made an audible and positive difference in my system. Although my effect was positive, you’ll need to try it yourself.“
What a surprise

A "The Point" reference - I haven't seen one in decades! Thanks for the reminder.

“The Kimber Kable Wiring Set made an audible and positive difference in my system. Although my effect was positive, you’ll need to try it yourself.“ What a surprise Sorry, 405x5 - Wires aren't speakers. The thing to remember that "different" isn't always "better" (or even "worse"). The only two brands of speaker wire that I've EVER been able to hear differences from are Kimber and Nordost. And curiously, they seem to do opposite things to the sound. The Kimbers tame the treble, the Nordost's emphasize it. You pays your money you takes your choice. Can a system be "tuned" with wires? I believe that it can. I've an audio amigo who spends his life tweaking the wires in his system, and I can usually hear the differences. But would anybody (other than this one specific bachelor friend) actually WANT to do that? Not that I can imagine. Lots of acquaintances and friends ask my advice about wires, and I most often tell them "buy some well-made wires that are durable and constructed of high-quality parts and then don't worry about it any more." This does not mean "expensive." Wire brands I've had good luck with include: Blue Jeans Cable (speaker wires) Afford Hi-Fi (interconnects) Canare (interconnects and speaker cables) Audioquest (interconnects and speaker cables - but only if you catch them on sale!) I also like Kimber, Nordost, and others - but am not usually willing to pay for them. YMMV

I never bothered to use cable to tune my system. Just isn't me. Your mileage may vary.

It seems its a tradeoff between capacitance of a braided cable vs inductance of a twin lead cable. More or less capacitance / inductance in the cable effects mid to high frequency. No surprise here.

“The Kimber Kable Wiring Set made an audible and positive difference in my system. Although my effect was positive, you’ll need to try it yourself.“ What a surprise Just the other day I was talking w/ a bro and mused as I wondered whether Pygmy tastes different than full size people? My bro looked a little confused, and I had to clarify suggesting that one might have to try them for themselves. I imagine Pygmy tastes like Buffalo Wings whereas everything else just tastes like chicken. What say you 405x5 ? I hope you don't get bent out of shape over my crack towards cannibal Pygmies. Had a gal once get ticked and responded Pygmies are people too . Next time I see her I'll ask her the same question pertaining towards Lord of the Rings Dwarfs. Excuse me as I go get warmed up by tossing a few midgets and then test my new cannon. Yes, I have a thing for really small peeps. Point being, don't knock it till you try it I know I know, what if Pigmies have computers and are reading this and have their feelings hurt?
