I'm way out of the loop on audio these days. Does anyone know of a CD player that can transmit audio via bluetooth to a bluetooth speaker? Not terribly concerned about audio quality (it's bluetooth after all), but should work simply and reliably, hopefully at a cheap/moderate cost. Either that, or some device that converts either headphone out or speaker level out into a bluetooth transmitter?
Looking for suggestions.

I think the BTR-1 does the opposite of what he wants. It takes a bluetooth signal and converts it into an analog output. He wants an analog signal converted INTO bluetooth.

Exactly right... the BTR-1 is a receiver... he wants a transmitter. I think the BTR-1 does the opposite of what he wants. It takes a bluetooth signal and converts it into an analog output. He wants an analog signal converted INTO bluetooth.

Better and cheaper still, most Blue Tooth speakers have an AUX input, so get an RCA Left/Right Male to 3.5mm RCA Male stereo and plug in and there you go. You may need to split the signal if you still intend to run with your main rig too.

It’s not a lone CD player, but as s Blu-ray player with Bluetooth, it transmits EVERYTHING. I often play CDS in the kitchen when not wanting to fire up the big system. Now this is the pre Ultra HD model but I’m sure the new puppy 🐶 does the same thing.

The only problem I’ve had with the Sony is Bluetooth Pairing for one device. My new Sonos “Move” will not pair to it, so I use my other Bluetooth speaker for that purpose.
