Does anyone have one of these? Was wondering if it sounds good and is durable. I would like to use it with a tube Pre that I have.
It is small so easily moveable and has a headphone section. It has enough power to drive my AR speakers even though the large ones wouldn't get too loud. I also have some other speakers to try and since I restore speakers it might be a good choice. The price is attractive, that's for sure.

I have three of these. One is actually the previous version. They are awesome and a tremendous deal. I’m using one with an old Adcom preamp in a two channel system. The other one is in the bedroom two channel driving a pair of Axiom bookshelves. The third will be used in the future. It sounds great and is well built. Go for it.

Great little amplifier. Built right. Got the guts to sound great. One of my favorite amplifiers of all time. One you can get. Linear Power Supply. Killer Headphone Amplifier. Narrow footprint. An Emotiva classic. A must buy!

I use it everyday. I have used the older version the mini-x to drive my Axiom M80 towers and I thought they did fine. Of course, the XPA-1 gen 2 did better but honestly the tiny amp kept trucking nicely. For the A-100, I have used it exclusively as a headphone amp for my Sennheiser HD600 and HD700. When you remove the jumper to the dropping resistor, it's a heck of a great headphone amp as long as you understand its limitations. And its limitations are that its noisy for headphones that have low impedance. So you really want to use it on higher impedance units or headphones that require huge amounts of power.

I got the A-100 late today. I hooked it up to my tube Pre. Very nice sound with some MicroAcoustic MA-1 speakers I restored with slight mods. The only CON so far is the volume knob has no marker to indicate where it is in rotation.

This amp is being discontinued so if you want one better buy it fast. It is now also discounted so a great deal.

Had some more listening time today with the A-100 using the MA-1 speakers and my headphones. I've only listened to vinyl so far. This little unit is BOSS. GREAT stereo separation! Superb sounding class AB amp.

I have one powering my b1+. Does everything right except let you know where the volume is.

I have one powering my b1+. Does everything right except let you know where the volume is. Except for the indicator on the volume knob I think the only thing that could make it better is if it was a total Class A amp. Your proposed 'A' amp would NOT be the 'same' amp at all. 4x (at least) the PS capacity. 20lb of heat sink. Total weight of 60lb to 80lb or more. Such amps kick out a LOT of heat and need 'space' around 'em to keep from cooking. My VC control 'fix' would take 5 minutes IF you had a very new./ sharp 1/8" drill bit and some white or grey acryllic paint.....and a toothpick to apply.... Paint is 1$ per at the local WalMart.....and is enough for 100 VC knob 'fixes'.... 'A' is the way to go.....except if you need 7 channels of amp for your HT setup.....your AC would never keep up. But you'd be warm all winter! If I had appropriate speakers? I'd send off for the Amp Camp Amp, a Nelson Pass designed KIT of 5 or 6 or so a side....SINGLE ENDED class 'A', so not even a push/pull design...Perfect for the high sensitivity speaker owner.
