Has anyone ceiling mounted the B1+ speakers? I'd like to use these for Atmos duty and can't figure they could be mounted. Thanks!

I can't comment opn the wisdom of using these as Atmos speakers, but if you wish to hang them from the ceiling check out Omnimounts.

Like I said I can't comment as I have no experience with them. If they match the rest of your system go for it.

I'm using rear ported wall mountable speakers for ATMOS. I'm not so much commenting on the port, but my speakers already have a mounting stud built-in. The speakers you are choosing to use don't have mounting studs as far as I can tell, so you'd need to attach as best as possible. Heck, I know one person who hung full size floor standing Martin Logan electrostatics from the ceiling! So anything is possible if you want to make it happen. Those mounts that DYohn suggests are really nice.

I have used Omnimounts to hang JBL 4315's on my back patio. Attach with wood screws on the back...

Do you already own the B1+ cause if ya don;t I say grab the A1 as they are meant for this type of installation and come with brackets so no need for buying mounts.

Chad I was looking at the A1's but it looks like they need to be mounted on the wall. I need to mount on the ceiling due to a large picture window obstruction on one of my walls. I suppose these could be ceiling mounted somehow but I am not sure about how the angle to the MLP would work out. I do have the B1's on order but they can be used for surround duty (which was the plan down the road anyway) if they don't work out as atmos speakers.

I had been looking at them for quite a while and somehow had it in my head that they had a keyhole on the back. Floor standers on the ceiling? Wowzers! I'd be having daily panic attacks that they were going to fall at any moment.
