Not sure what happened, havent used the theater all week went to power it on, hit the button on the processor and nothing. try remote, nothing. Power in the back off and unplug. leave for 10min+ Plug back in turn switch on, orange ring flashes pause, some rapid orange flashes( 5) then a short pause, flashes orange and stays that way. Display never lights up in any way. nothing. I also tried the above with holding the power button in, same thing. I do hear a relay click when the final orange ring comes on and stays on Never goes through the boot process Before I call on Friday, anyone tell me what the flashes mean? I searched and couldnt find anything I have also unplugged all the HDMI cables. have been running the latest FW for months so nothing has changed in the system

yup
Since you've tried switching off the rear power switch, then hold and keep holding the front power button and then switch on the rear power switch and keep holding the front power button until the front display appears, but you said it still did not show up, there's nothing else I can recommend.

Are you plugged directly into the wall or a secondary device?

I have the same - 5 rapid flashes of the orange light then nothing.
Ugh! No sound at all is worse than the warbles, pops and clicks I normally get. I'd gladly have those back tonight as we were going to settle down and watch a movie!
Being in the UK, shipping this thing back to Franklin to the European service centre in Denmark is a costly exercise - it was an XMC-1 to XMC-2 official trade-in via Emotiva, so I am not even sure that I got the full 5 year warranty.

Update - the possibly good news is that one of the glass fuses on the internal power board has blown. I will change it and hope that there is not an underlying other issue that resulted in the fuse blowing - if it goes again then a warranty repair would be indicated to Denmark it seems, for Europe.
The G3P manual tells you to look for the fuses under troubleshooting, tells you where to find them and informs you they are 250V T250 fuses but doesn't then specify the rating of each fuse which was a little annoying as they are tough to read at 2230! The fuses are so cheap that I would have ordered both had I known their rating and then opened up the case tomorrow and chanced my luck changing them then. As it is I got the XMC-2 fully disconnected and onto the worktop and thankfully found a potentially fixable issue.
The two internal power board fuses: F1 (which is my blown fuse as it is obviously blackened) is 1Amp and I have ordered some from Amazon to arrive before 1pm tomorrow (£3.50 for 10) F2 is a 250mA fuse
Hopefully this will be helpful for others and encourage them to open up the case as Emotiva recommend. I won't be triumphant just yet until I get my faulty-by-design XMC-2 up and working as well/badly as it was before this happened. I may yet have to send it away.
