I heard Dan Kaufman mention the upcoming release of the new "version" of the TA-100, and I think he called it the TA-1. Has there been any further information on this new integrated amp? I'm very interested, and waiting on other upgrades to my system until I see how this unit differs from the TA-100, which I own. I just bought a new DAC and HP amp, so I kinda hope Emotiva isn't going to boost both of these in the new amp, but it wouldn't surprise me as that's been a real growing market lately if I'm not mistaken. Has anyone heard anything about the changes being made, or the release date?

Integrated amps are definitely becoming more popular. Some excellent examples from Pass, Modwright, Parasound, Michi, McIntosh, BAT, Kinki Studio and many others. Who needs a preamp anymore? DACs put out 2 volts RCA 4 volts XLR. Who needs gain anymore? Almost no one.
Give me an XPA-2 Gen 3 with a built in unity gain (passive) volume control, 2 each RCA and XLR inputs, a nice display and Iām all in. š
