Would be interesting to note who HERE has spent listening time with more than TWO of any of these particular models….what’s the interest?

I've owned the DQ-10a and Thiel (both 1.6 and 3.6 models). The Dahlquist speakers were powered by the Adcom GFA-1 "power cube," and the Thiel 1.6 by the McIntosh MC352. Both sounded astounding. Both speakers have in common a demand for high power in order to sound dynamic, and the ability to sound more transparent to the source than any other speakers I've owned. I've owned electrostatic speakers that didn't sound as transparent. Any more, the DQ-20i, DQ-28, and DQ-30 are rare as hens' teeth. The Thiel CS3 is similarly rare. The CS5i, 6, and 7 are not only rarely available, but also fetch absurdly high prices. The remaining contender is the plentiful and inexpensive DQ-10. The slightly more expensive but equally common DQ-10a has mirror-imaged drivers and yellow polypropylene crossover capacitors. A 10 can be converted to a 10a, but it's definitely a PITA. At lower volumes, the DQ-10 is sufficient, even in a larger room. But if you want volume, you'd have to do what my audio amigo has done and "stack" a pair of the speakers, top to top. When properly focused, the stacked DQ-10s offer some of the best imaging I've ever heard with seemingly limitless dynamics. Boomzilla

The DQ-10 really needs to be out away from the wall to sound their best and YES they are amazing speakers. There are a few on eBay.
When someones says they don't have the room for them they don't mean enough space but rather a room where they can be brought away from the wall. The wife might have to go as acceptance is low to this configuration.

Boomzilla Loved the DQ-10s, had a white pair like the picture and sold many of them. Even designed a stand for stacking them (mine rotated), with a monoblock in the base (Kenwood L09), never built it. Never heard the 20i, I hope you find one or both, look forward to hearing if they meet your expectations.

I see the pulsating dome mids and tweets that run in their own ‘space’ independent of the woofer enclosure. Like my IC 20’s not needing the air volume of the cabinet.

Vintage Dahlquists or Theils? Not for me. In that price range just get a set of Quad ESL-57's and be done with it.

Quads lack the dynamics of the Dahlquists or Thiels - particularly at low volumes.

The problem with CL listings is that most won't ship. Even if they WERE willing to ship, they don't have the original boxes. Having speakers packed for insured shipment at a UPS or FedEx store costs more than the speakers (and that's not even counting the actual shipping cost). And you can be absolutely certain that if you pack the speakers yourself and they're damaged in shipment, that NO carrier will pay the insurance claim - they'll just say that your packing was insufficient and that's the end of that story.
So thanks to all who have pointed out stuff on their local CL, but those listings won't help me.

I've owned the 10's (mirror imaged, Apt Holman 1 pre-amp, Hafler amps with DQ 1w subs and the DQ LP) and much later I had the 20's which I converted to 20i's by rebuilding the cross-overs, sold them to my friend who originally sold me the 10's (who used to have 6 10's stacked array in 3 channel setup). I sold them because I found a nice pair of Alon IV Mark 2's locally. And they are incredible. You might say I'm big fan of the Marchisotto sound.
