Hello, I was about to order an Rmc1l but I heard there is a problem with DTS. I’m new to all this so maybe I’m not understanding it.All of my Blu-rays are DTS-HD or Dolby true HD. Will I have audio problems with my blurays?

Will I have audio problems with my blurays? Nope... They'll all play just fine. There are no "issues" with DTS-HD or (Dolby) TrueHD. If maybe you're referring to DTS:X "Pro", that too will be added in a future update.

I’ve read older posts that say DTS plays 6db lower and the volume had to be cranked way up? No?

Will I have audio problems with my blurays? You may be referring to what I think people called the DTS Center Channel issue, where it was low by 6 dB. I forget which firmware that was fixed in, but maybe before 2.0? In any case no longer a problem, on my system the DTS:X Harry Potter’s sound great, I think we’re due for our annual playing of the entire series sometime soon.

Thanks for all the responses! I feel better about ordering now, just gotta get myself to do it. I’m using a 14 year old avr as a preamp and I think I need an upgrade.

The sound quality from the XMC-1 and the latest gen processors is astounding IMO, I don't have a big house so I need one system to do both surround and 2ch and I am very happy with the results. Cheers, Chad

The issue is when DTS is up mixed using DTS Neural Surround (in auto mode). If you switch to “surround” it’ll play at its native DTS-HD and it sounds great…generally better.
