Anyone out there seen/ have a link for a frequency response graph for the Emotiva SE 12 Flex Subwoofer? They show them for the Reference series but not the Flex. I imagine it looks nice and flat, but I'm debating the cost savings or if I want something that goes deeper like the Emotiva Reference series or an SVS sub. Anyone heard the SVS SB 1000 pro?

I haven't seen a curve for this either.
Some things I consider with subs are: Is there enough power for the size room I have? How well is the cabinet built? Will the controls allow for good adjustments?
If the room is small, then not much power is needed, and the cabinet construction doesn't come into play as much.
So, what size is your room? How many subwoofers are you considering?
The amp in the SE8 is the same power as the SE12, but it pushes a smaller driver. Getting two SE8's is not quite the same square inches of driver area as one SE12, but it's close, and the dynamics improve when using multiples.

I'm only considering 1 sub at the moment due to lack of space.
The room is about ~14x18 ft with vaulted ceilings and an open floor plan that connects to the kitchen which is ~14x14.
I've heard that ported boxes may need to be farther from a wall and as sealed are usually smaller with tighter bass, I'm seriously considering a sealed box even though they require more power and don't play quite as low.
I'd like to get something with power and low end to spare, capable of closer to 20hz than 30hz. It will be mostly for music, but some HT as well.

Then you're gonna need to get a really good sub to be happy. You'll need power and quality when using one sub in a room with that volume of air space. So I guess that would mean looking at the RS13, and others like it.
