I want to take my 5.1 and make it 5.1.4. With that said in the research I have done I am thinking of pulling the trigger on one of the following. Do any of you have any experience with any of them? I have Martin Logan's for all 5 speakers and I am renting right now so can not get in ceiling speakers! If I wanted to stick with Martin Logan I was thinking is there a reason I would not want to use the Motion SLM speakers for the Atmos(currently use two of them for my surrounds)? They are easy to hang on the ceiling, however I am not sure if they make sense to make Atmos. If not the slims I was thinking of the SVS elevation Primes or the Airmotiv A1's. If no one thinks any of these are solid options, I am asking for suggestions, however my only rule is that they have to be fairly easy to mount to the ceiling:) Also note that what ever I grab I will run them off of my XPA-7 Gen3 amp, that will also include my surrounds.

Actually, there is NO such thing as a “best speaker 🔊 for Atmos. The industry has determined that a speaker is in location X to render the audio in that particular spot in that regard Fidelity is out the window so just stick anything you like up there that fits and you’re all set!

Actually each Atmos channel is designed to carry full frequency range sound, but few if any sound tracks take much advantage of that. If I were you I would go with the Airmotiv A1s and mount them on speaker stands pointing upward toward your 4 ceiling targets to bounce to the MLP (main listening position). Maybe adjustable height stands would help.
