This probably belongs in the Today's Humor thread but I thought I would put it here since the people responding to it looked at it like a technical issue. I copied this picture from a post in the Harbeth Speaker group in Facebook. Some of the replies said doing it diagonally worked best for them. Personally, I think they ought to try the jumpers horizontally instead of vertically and see how that sounds.

Oh please be careful posting stuff like thus lest it morph into a bi-wiring thread.

Don’t we first need the “Magic Speaker Wire Debate” thread?

Actually, I can hear a difference between having the (non-bi-wire) speaker wires plugged into the tweeter sockets and the woofer sockets. But I've not found an audible difference between the stock jumpers and using heavier-AWG wire as jumpers. But since I normally now bi-wire (without using the terminal jumpers at all), it's not significant to me. YMMV
Boomzilla
Speaker wires on hand:
12' pair of 11AWG Belden wire with 4 conductors per cable - self terminated with banana plugs 10' pair of 12AWG Blue Jeans cable with 4 conductors per cable - self terminated with banana plugs 10' pair of 12AWG Carnare cable with 4 conductors per cable - factory terminated with banana plugs 6' pair of 12AWG Monoprice cable with 2 conductors per cable - self terminated with banana plugs 6' pair of 12AWG Parts-Express cable with 2 conductors per cable - self terminated with banana plugs 9' pair of Straight Wire 12AWG cables with 2 conductors per cable - factory terminated with banana plugs 18' pair of 18AWG Monoprice cables with 4 conductors per cable - self terminated with banana plugs And a few misc. cables I don't remember
My favorites of the bunch (not for sound quality, which I find pretty consistent between all the wires, but for convenience and banana plug quality) are the Beldens, the Carnares, and the Straight Wires. I will note that there are a LOT of really cheap banana plugs on the market that don't make firm contact. Buyer beware!
I'm still amazed that nobody makes a spring-loaded "locking" banana plug along the lines of test tips for VOMs. On those, there's a tip that's activated by a spring loaded plunger at the opposite end of the probe. If someone would make a banana plug that contracted when a plunger was pushed, and then expanded once inserted in the jack by releasing the plunger, I'd buy LOTS. It would allow a solid connection without having to turn any threaded locking mechanism. This would make it FAR easier to insert and remove banana plugs.

I agree with Boomzilla, I can hear a difference. The music sounds fuller when connecting the actual wires to the mid-range/bass terminals and then jumpering to the treble terminals. I explain this by reasoning that the majority of the current goes directly into the connection that it is going to. Then the smaller amount of current has to take the longer "jumpered" route. With perfect connections, it wouldn't make any difference. But since we live in an imperfect world, the treble may be attenuated "just a touch", which might be desirable in most speakers.
And also like Boomzilla, I connect my speakers "that other way".
