Just purchase a XMC-1 Refurbished and I am having the same issue that I did with the XMC-2 that I sent back two years ago. It requires that the entire system be turned on then the DirecTv box last inorder for the video to show up. Audio is not a problem. It is only the Directv box. This can be done manually but there must be a one button solution. Using a Harmony One remote. Anyone? Thanks Ray D

I set the delay parameters in my Harmony One. The units are ms so I entered a pretty big number, like 10,000, for a 10-second delay.

I tried 8,000 on the power on time for the Directv box but it was not slowed down it still fires up immediately.

I also tried leaving the Directv box on "all the time" and the XMC-1 still would not latch on to the video everytime.

I’m able to get video consistently and do use a Harmony Elite Home Remote. As a test, can you try to assign one of the ‘Buttons’ (1-7) to the DirecTV input, and after everything else has settled press that — on your Harmony it should either be called Input X (say 1), or just 1. Or try the Emotiva remote.

It was the #1 input on the XMC-1 that was the problem. Move to the #2 input issue gone.
