I am thinking of getting one but cannot find any reviews of the phono stage in this unit.
Anyone here used this preamp for records?
Thanks!

I have heard this is pretty much a TA1 with out the amp.
Recovering audiophile on you tube has a review on the TA1 and states the phono pre is very strong.

My hunch is the phono stage would be excellent. I’ve owned a PT-100 in the past and the phone stage was great. I only used MM type cartridges.
PT1 likely has same or maybe better phono stage.

My Vincent PHO 701 had an issue and so I used the PT-100 for my listening and ripping while the other was being fixed. There was not a large difference. At all. Once the Vincent returned, I could hear the advantages of the unit, but the built in of the PT-100 was all in the more expensive unit's neighborhood. It is a fine sounding balanced circuit they have.

The phono stage on the TA-1 that I have is OK. But I find the XPS-1 better in every aspect. I’m using a Uturn Orbit with a $200 cartridge and I use the Schiit Mani. For an older technics table with a $30 cartridge the phono stage on the TA-1 is enough. YMMV
