I’ve used it for years but have not changed over to Audirvāna Studio.

Has anyone used the application Audirvana? Thanks - Steve I’ve also used it, but about the same time they introduced Studio Grand, Apple Music went lossless. As much as I like the Audirvana player and remote, I’ve almost completely stopped using it. We had a short discussion here: emotivalounge.proboards.com/thread/58786/new-audirvana-studio-grand

I've used Audirvana for many years (and still do), but I won't move over to their new "subscription" based product. I've always been very pleased with Audirvana, but there are other options out there without having to pay by the month. There's already too much of that these days. Currently, I'm in the process of setting up my new Zidoo Z1000 to function as a player. Its "Music Player" app needs a lot of fine tuning (still a work in progress for Zidoo), but as a player, it's just fine...

I’ll second Doc1963 opinion regarding subscriptions and the main reason I have resisted even trying it. However Audirvāna Studio from what others have stated seems to be a step up in sound quality over the older version of A+, why I don’t know though. I would encourage you to peruse some of the discussions at audiophilestyle however. Lots of info there with a variety of different juke boxes. From what I can determine HQ Player seems to be the best for sound quality, but its also quite complex too and no UI unless you also subscribe to Roon. Roon apparently has the best library system, but terrible customer service and poor audio quality, JRiver somewhere in between. Well this is the consensus from what I’ve read.
Due to the complexity of dealing with computer based audio systems and this is something I’ve been doing since the turn of the century I’m just growing tired of it all so lately have taken to spinning disc again, be it redbook cd or SACD and others. If you doubt the complexity of how deep you can go down the rabbit hole of computer audio seriously spend some time reading through the HQ Player forums over at audiophilestyle. Hope this helps
