Before I request a RMA/Refund thought I would ask in the forum in case I am missing a setting.
The issue is the A2 amp once turned on from source (TA1) when playing via USB will turn itself off while receiving a signal. I have to stop playback and restart the stream/signal and the A2 will power itself on and a few minutes later will turn itself off. Is there a setting I am missing or is there an issue w/ the A2?
The TA1 plays fine w/ out the A2 in the stack.
Thanks

If you have any other component with trigger input you can test de TA-1.

Question, the Auto On switch, I assume that needs to be toggled to on instead of Auto, or do I have this backwards? I want the A2 to auto power-on/off when a signal is sent.
Thanks

Actually it is kind of confusing the way they put it in the amplifier and in the instructions. They mention the function “auto-on” like a single feature but then the switch splits the function in “auto” and “on”. I assume that “on” position will leave the amp ready to turn-on with the front button and also the trigger. But definitely it is confusing.

I have set it to "Auto", still having issues where A2 will not power-on and if it does, will eventually power-off. Yesterday I didn't have an issue. This is my office stack and it seems most of the technology I have purchased lately have issues, just gets old.
I will call Emotiva Monday and give them an opportunity to address/educate me on the issue. If there is in fact an issue w/ the equipment, requesting a refund and moving on.

Thanks I would think the Auto-On switch needs to be set to Auto for signal sensing trigger, and On for always on. For Trigger Input to work, should it also be set to Auto? This is just a two position switch, correct? It's strange, but probably cheaper, to install a two position switch, but they had a simple three position switch previously, like on my BasX A-800. No instructions needed, no confusion.

Why it would have always ON if it has a power button in the front?? If It’s like that the PA-1 that didn’t have a power button it would make more sense IMO

Looked at the manual and it’s definitely not clear.
I would call them Monday but would also try both auto and on positions to see what happens…..which I assume you have already done.

Happy to see it's not me having a senior moment. Still having the issue and have tried different sources i.e., USB, CD, and AUX w/ same issue. I called and had to leave a VM, curious what they have to say...
What's odd, when the A2 decides to power-off while playing, the powered-sub continues to play. I am using the HPF on the back of the TA1 to the sub and A2.
Yes, tried both settings.
Thanks

Spoke w/ Emotiva, "Auto" is the setting you want to auto power-on however, they can't guarantee that will work based on the sensitivity of the speakers in the chain In this case, KEF LS50 Metas. According to Emotiva they designed the threshold/sensitivity of what most audio environment would be.
I will use the trigger inputs and move on.
Thanks

If It’s like that the PA-1 that didn’t have a power button it would make more sense IMO I can't speak to the TA-1, but with the A-800 the following is how it works. With the Power Mode Switch (On-Auto-Trigger) is set to: On = Only reacts to Front Power Button Auto = Reacts to sensed audio signal or Front Power Button Trigger = Reacts to Trigger Input Front Power Button So, no matter which position the switch is in, the Front Power Button will turn on and off the amp. Also, when set to Auto and the audio signal has stopped it takes about 10 minutes to shut off.
