Is it OK to run BasX with some channels having no load? (E.g., only 4 speakers connected to a BasX A5 or 5 speakers connected to a BasX A7?)
I am asking, as planning on replacing some amps with BasX, but would like to buy extra channels now to prepare for a AV processor upgrade later - which will add channels. I thought no-load damage was more an old tube amp issue but appreciate any info folks can provide - thanks!
Apologies if covered elsewhere - I did look first using search function.

If the channels are unused, just don't connect those inputs to the BasX power amp. In fact, you might want to buy some "shorting plugs" that ground the unused input jacks. No, you won't hurt the amp by driving the amplifier input without a load, but why bother. My choice would be to just not connect the processor to the unused amplifier channels until they're actually needed.
