Hi all, I can't put this one off any more...for a while I noticed some dish liquid brands bottles saying "Washes away bacteria from hands"....I'm like "Really?"...lol...

Dish soaps include a surfactant that helps dirt (and presumably, bacteria) be washed away, but I'd trust the FDA on this one.

My pet peeve is hand sanitizer. Yes, its a great product to apply to CLEAN hands as an added measure of protection. It is NOT a replacement for a proper hand washing with soap and water. For some reason, many people don't seem to get this. You can't sanitize filth

For some reason, many people don't seem to get this. You can't sanitize filth In my industry, sanitation is the final stage of cleaning equipment. Wash with soap and water thoroughly, rinse with clean water well and finally sanitize with appropriate sanitizer. The type of sanitizer is dependent upon use or equipment. Food contact vs non-food. Best to sing “Happy Birthday” while washing ones hands, or the equivalent in time. This is recommended by the Restaurant Association.
