When I play certain Bluray DVDs, there is a TrueHD surround offering for audio via HDMI. I see it displayed on the screen, but when I try to choose a mode, it seems to default to Prologic-MUSIC.
What is the best XMC-1 mode for Dolby TrueHD5.1?

What is the best XMC-1 mode for Dolby TrueHD5.1? I have the “original board” XMC1 with (2) 3D players connected to 2 individual HDMI inputs. Both are configured to “all stereo”, however, both automatically swap to TrueHD when the disc option is selected. You may want to go over your Blu-ray player settings to be sure they are correct. “Automatic” will help you out if there are questions at that end.

As I understand, you setup the "Automatic" for each detected setting in the advanced input settings, so I could set it to Direct, Surround, All Stereo etc. What I am asking is how do I get the intended TrueHD sound? Direct does not sound right. Surround or Prologic seem good, just asking to hear the audio track as intended by Dolby TrueHD.

If the XMC HDMI input you’ve selected is configured to “automatic” you will hear TrueHD audio, as long as you have selected that audio option from your disc menu, provided it’s an available option on that particular disc.

Surround mode should do it so long as the audio setup for the disc is set to TrueHD.
