Hi all,
I'm hoping to get some help. The volume knob on my PT-100 BasX doesn't work when turned in either direction (though it works when pushed in, which brings up the TRIMS menu). I've had to use the remote to adjust the volume. My unit is over three years old and out of warranty, so I'm looking for advice on how I could fix this myself. Thanks for any insight.

I've had to use the remote to adjust the volume. My unit is over three years old and out of warranty, so I'm looking for advice on how I could fix this myself. Thanks for any insight. Will EMO part with a schematic so IF and WHEN you take it to a tech......they'll have some documentation? Other than that? MAYBE a ribbon connector or other connection has come loose. YOU can fix that if so inclined. If you have a bum solder connection? Not so much. Does EMO have any parts....like the VC control and / or the associated control board....IF it has one? Will they sell you one? What is the 'flat rate' to fix if that is still offered? How much do you figure your PT-100 is worth in good condition? The neighborhood tech IF he'll touch it at all (doubtfull without docs) will charge a diagnosis fee which MAY later be deleted IF you go ahead with the fix. Good luck with getting back up and running. At least you know stuff works.....since it works with the remote.....
