I want to control the MC-700 from another room. Is it compatible with an RF remote and can the standard remote be set to RF? Thanks. Capt Jay Bozo

Emotiva uses an IR remote to control its products which is what's most commonly used. To use an RF remote you will need an after market RF/IR capable remote and normally a base station combo that the remote can use RF to control IR components.
Typically with an RF remote it will work in IR and RF and you need an RF base station that will receive the RF signal and convert it to IR to send to the components.
I've use URC remotes for many years which were both IR/RF capable, my current remote is a URC MX-990 remote which works with a URC MRF-350 base station to use its RF capabilities.
The RF capabilities are great to never need to point your remote or even be in the same room as the component you are controlling.
