Are we any closer on channel modules for the RMC-1?

Because speaker wire is relatively cheap, I've wired my room for full 11.2.10 (6 overhead, front and rear heights). I'm starting to select equipment and speakers.

One option is to buy a 16 channel decoder for now, skip the wides for the moment (and likely split the rear overhead or rear output and send it to the rear heights), and wait for a future upgrade to a higher-end processor, the other is to buy the RMC-1 with an expectation of expansion modules coming in the future.

I've done enough research to know that some have likely been waiting years and years for these modules, but I also see that a couple of input modules finally arrived.

Is there any sign of a timeline for the output modules?

I have no idea, and doubt anyone who actually knows will post it here until they’re ready. I do think however, that these modules will require a substantial firmware update, likely a 3.x release, so one signal the boards might be getting closer would be the release of this update. Of course this is just speculation, and the boards could still substantially lag the FW release.
