This was one of the first MoFi pressings I ever bought. There is a smooth roundness to this recording that I just love. Good tunes, and very well recorded. It was produced by Lenny Waronker who always made sure his projects sounded awesome. He also did Rickie Lee Jones first record and Van Dyke Parks' Song Cycle. A record worth owning IMHO. Trey

Sounds like me and a lot a guys who were pursuing Nirvana through records ( no choice = no CD 💿 (yet). Once arrived, sonic excellence and convenience….impossible to walk away from. That’s not a diss towards spinning vinyl or anyone who keeps the sport going (it totally get it). There is something to be said for that tactile experience that warms the heart and soul.

Recorded before about 1982, all these were mastered via analog, and thus offer the best sonics.
After all, music from real instruments is analog, and the goal of digital, with ever higher sampling rates, is to become analog. A digital facsimile of the real thing.
No point in buying vinyl that was originally mastered digitally, and it seems compromised to buy digital copies of analog recording masters.
And, best of all, no reason at all to choose, Records for analog masters and streaming for digital masters. CDs have no real place anymore, IMO.
BTW, 405, if clicks and pops trouble you, perhaps time to review your record care regimen?

By the way…..CD’s have a plethora of good use (still). All my vehicles are compact disc player equipped. Lots of music important to me are still contained only on that medium.

Brother, check out the Discogs sale price for that MoFi White Album. Everything you mention sounds sweet and sells high, I have them too except for The Beatles. So congrats and enjoy! Trey
