Hello Keith...
I have enjoyed my RMC-1 for well over a year now and put a Cocktail Audio X45Pro into the stack for streaming and it does everything EXCEPT Dolby ATMOS and DTX/5.1
I am curious if you are looking at Slot 3 of the RMC for a streaming module that would be compatible with Tidal which is offering Atmos mixes now...you already paid the Dolby license for the processor and believe it or not Cocktail Audio didn't want to pay for a Dolby license leaving a gap in my streaming setup...it was a surprise I wasn't expecting.
I know you won't pre-announce product here but you can't fault me for pokin' the bear!

I can't give you any details (partly because nothing has been finalized yet)...
But, yes, we ARE actively looking into coming out with a streamer module for the RMC-1...

By chance, any possibility that this option might be available to the XMC-2?
I certainly would be interested in this option as well.
Thankfully I have received confirmation from Emotiva's World Headquarters that our new XMC-2 has been shipped. With it's expected delivery coming this Tuesday. Appreciate any information that you can share with me.

Yes... and no.
The RMC-1 actually accepts physical hardware expansion modules - but the XMC-2 does not. Therefore there is little likelihood of some sort of internal streamer expansion module that could be plugged into the XMC-2.
However, assuming we do finally release a streamer module for the RMC-1... There's a good chance that we would also develop an external streamer box using that same circuit module. Keith, thanks for sharing that they are exploring the possibility of a music server option for the RMC-1. By chance, any possibility that this option might be available to the XMC-2? You do not know this  . And, at this point, I don't know it for sure either. Therefore, at this point, I would put that down as "a definite maybe".
