Having said I’d prefer full time DST (in part because I’m not a ‘morning person’) I’ll add that this year the time change seemed to hit me harder than usual. Even though most days I don’t have to get up at a particular time, I felt very fatigued for maybe a week. It could have coincided with some aggressive ski days, or maybe turning 70, whatever the case, my body really seemed to want that lost hour back (has anyone seen it?) It's funny I also felt a little strange this time.

Maybe they should come up with gigantic mirrors and put them in orbit to reflect light from the sun on certain areas, and make them rotate not to reflect light after a certain time, of course if it's cloudy oh well....and make the states covered pay for the maintenance, and then have a big argument...lol...

Too bad we can’t just split the difference.

I saved my hour every year for the last 10 years. 😡 What happens if they get rid of it? 😡

Seriously though, the biggest pain in the ass about daylight savings time is physically changing all those clocks so that they read right. That is a thankless job for sure…… To that end I have made a career out of looking for clocks that take care of themselves so I don’t have to. The last one I have been looking for is that pendulum kitchen clock that will either adjust itself or move back-and-forth with a touch of one button… I will find it if it kills me

I have a 'candy bar' cell phone from back around 2007 or so, a Nokia N73. The only use I have for it is as an alarm clock since it cannot be used to make calls, other than 911. I rarely use it. It is supposed to be obsolete, and cannot 'talk' to the cell towers, and supposedly hasn't in 8-10 years, yet it keeps perfect time, and switches between standard and daylight savings time at the correct time! WTH is up with that?

WTH is up with that? Bush2 made the start of DST earlier and pushed the end time further out making for a longer DST. My wife has a bedside clock/radio that had the auto feature but is now obsolete since that change. Your phone must have received an update some time ago.

Maybe it should be a state to state choice, I was stationed in Hawaii with the US ARMY, of course it's a far away state, but the time is the same all the time.....whatever, lol...

I say we implement the New World Time Order (aka One World Time). It will be the same time throughout the world, regardless of location. I'm typing this at 10:23pm and so under OWT that is what time it would be everywhere.
And if Daylight Savings Time were kept, everyone would have to turn their clocks forward and backward at the same time, too

WTH is up with that? I have a bunch of old “dead” 💀 phones in a drawer that haven’t seen a contract in years, but if you power one up they display the exact time and date. (makes you wonder). Repurposed phones without contracts can be useful in other ways. I brought my old off contract IPhone to my local guy that replaced the battery for 20 bucks. I now use it as an iPod and it’s better than my old pod in every way.

I powered one up (that wasn’t easy) and it read January with a bunch of zeros. At least now I have more room in my junk drawer yay
