Did anybody participate in RSD this year? Tell us about it if you did! I don’t have any record stores within 150 miles so I didn’t get to be part of it. I will see if I can pick up a few tomorrow! Hope they haven’t sold out of all the titles I’m interested in.

Hope they haven’t sold out of all the titles I’m interested in. I didn’t, but your thread somehow reminded me of my earliest record buying adventures. I was wild for records of all kinds before I was old enough to drive a car. To that end, I would take my bicycle on a short ride of just a few miles to my local record shop when I was a kid. For anybody who is old enough to remember, I had these huge newspaper carrier baskets that could take all my paper route stuff without having to fold the newspapers. They were also uniquely well-suited to pick up my earliest LPs. That was a Mere 50 some odd years ago. No doubt this was why I was so enamored with a compact disc. |
