I have upgraded two different UMC-200 units to firmware v52 (1.52.02.52). After this, both units will not keep the configuration for trim levels in the menu. All other configuration will save fine (i.e. speaker types, crossovers, etc.). When I power off the unit and then power back on, it loses all trim levels and they default back to 0. I have to continually reset the center channel to +6db and other trims as well.
I cannot find any links that provide previous versions of the UMC-200 firmware (such as v47, or v39). Can someone from Emotiva help here? The legacy firmware links page only has the latest v52 for UMC-200.

It’s been awhile since I’ve used a UMC-200, but I’ve never known any Emotiva processor to maintain its “trim” settings after a power cycle. “Trims” are always intended to be temporary “on the fly” compensations meant for individual viewing sessions. If you need permanent adjustments to a specific channel, that adjustment would be made in the speaker “Level” settings.

I cannot find any "Level" settings in the UMC-200 menu system. The only place to do speaker volume is in "Trims". This is an excerpt from the UMC-200 manual:
Menu : Trims Allows you to individually adjust the levels of each speaker (unlike the Trims on the remote control, these are “permanent”, and remain in effect until changed.)

Okay... So if your are going into the "menu" and setting "trims", those levels should be permanent and survive a power cycle. If you are using the "trims" button on the remote, then those settings are temporary and will reset upon a power cycle. FWIW, they don't refer to both settings as "trims" these days. If you are making these settings in the correct place, and they are not sticking, then you might have corrupted memory or a bad firmware flash. I would try a factory reset first. If that does not work, re-flash the firmware. If that still doesn't do the trick, contact customer support by phone or open a support ticket on Emotiva's website.

I have done a complete re-flash of the firmware as well as a factory reset. No go. I will try contacting Emotiva.

I have done a complete re-flash of the firmware as well as a factory reset. No go. I will try contacting Emotiva. Just to offer another suggestion... Have you tried running the Emo-Q routine to at least let it set the base speaker level values for you...? If you don't like the way it sounds after Emo-Q runs its routine, you can eliminate the auto EQ settings by turning Emo-Q off. The individual speaker levels it determines will still remain in effect. If you have an SPL meter, you could set the base speaker levels manually rather that using Emo-Q. To do this, go to Menu > Setup > Speaker Setup > Test Tones (this is where the " levels" setting that I was referring to earlier is located) and use an SPL meter to set the levels for each channel. I'm guessing that you're well acquainted with your UMC-200 and that you've done this before. But if not, be forewarned that when accessing "Test Tones", you will be greeted with an immediate burst of pink noise. So turn the volume down before you access this menu. It's been many years since I owned a UMC-200. So if this doesn't accomplish anything, I'm sure Emotiva Support will get you where you need to be. Good luck...

Yep. I just got reply from Emotiva support. They did change some labels/names and that made it confusing. The "Menu => Setup => Speaker Setup => Test Tones" is indeed where you can set permanent levels. I have verified this works. It is confusing to most people because "Test Tones" are commonly ignored in pre/pro configuration menus.
