Thank you for creating this post.... got the speakers hooked up tonight and was prepared to sit through the break-in process as I usually do until I liked them.

That took about 5 minutes... these things are insane!

I will try to write a better impression of them soon.... I also bought the Legend L400 Center to go with them!

I have yet to sit down and write any kind of a review of these speakers because I've just been sitting at home and enjoying them. My spouse has been in British Columbia for a week and I've been home alone all by myself with my stereo system. Poor me.

I did have an audiophile buddy of mine pop by last night and because we had a massive internet outage here in Canada we were essentially forced to make it a CD only night and that was a really good idea. We ended up listening to a lot of music he was very familiar with since he brought all the CDs with him. He was simply blown away by the sound and while I know they're good I'm starting to realize just how good they are based upon his reaction to them.

I've had at least two sessions with them now that lasted in excess of 12 hours with no fatigue which is just amazing as far as I'm concerned. Tonight was about four maybe five hours but I have to go to bed because I have to get up early in the morning to pick up my spouse at the airport. Oh well

Any interest in me writing my impressions after nearly two years of ownership? Not gonna lie, I don't wanna type up anything if no one is interested. Also ended up buying the Polk L400 Center.

I can summarize by saying that I still love them. Fact, I went to the Montreal audio show over the weekend and came back home, realizing that these things are still a bargain… They punch well above their price point

You should be able to demo them. Polk Audio is usually available at any decent audio store. 

I'm curious as to what the SVS Ultra Evolution base tower will be priced at. Even the starter one is rated down to 30hz.

Polk does seem to be going back to their roots. For a while it seems like they were producing speakers for the masses that might have been good, but never great. They were also known to have an upper frequency hump as a brand/house sound for a while too. I think over all market competition is driving everyone to make as good as a product as they can at a price point.
