I have a situation where I am trying to replace my existing surrounds with E2+. Problem is that my existing ones are mounted high (2 ft above ear level) and that is where the speaker connection is. The old speakers point downwards aimed at the listening area and are designed that way.
The E2+'s dispersion pattern I imagine is very different (bipole or dipole). The mounting brackets are flat against the wall expecting the speaker connection to be in the center of the brackets. Not made for accepting wires any other way it seems. I don't want to drill additional holes and extend the wires to another location. I imagine these speakers are intended for ear-level install? That is an assumption, btw. Unless I missed it, manual doesn't say much.
If I do mount them 2 ft above ear level, can/should I angle them down (I can use wedges behind the mounting bracket) . Or is the vertical dispersion good enough?
Anyone have insights or guidance

Vertical dispersion is very rarely "good enough." I think you either need to build some angle mounting plates that will point the speakers at the listeners' ears. Wedge sounds about right. Best of luck!

Thanks, yes wedges seem to be the easy option right now
