No, @drtrey got it absolutely right! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Well intentioned or not, because we can’t talk about it without violating the forum rules which is why It shouldn’t have been started in the first place (not your thread his comments ) we’re on the way to the political lock of the thread. Whatever happened to just plain happy Fourth of July and celebrating it for the right reasons? It's not violating the rules of the Lounge. The formation of the United States of America and its independence from Britain was due to an insurrection. The Declaration of Independence spells it out the reason for separating from England, and meets the definition of "insurrection" per the dictionary: insurrection

A rising up; uprising.

So happy Independence and Insurrection Day!  I am grateful to our founding fathers for their act of insurrection. |

OK, now that is funny! My silly post got deleted but posts quoting and arguing about it were left. I am surprised there was a problem, rabble rousing is seldom my intent. I was indeed referring to our war for independence, an amazing event, nothing recent comes close.
