Hey everyone.
I’m brand new to Emotiva. I’ve always wanted Emotiva gear but finally pulled the trigger on the T0s. First of I love them. Impressed by such a small speaker. Now of course I am curious if I go up the line. My question is should I upgrade to T1+ or T2+ or stay with T0+ and get a bigger sub? Would there be a big difference? Thanks everyone.

How big is your room. The t2 goes quite deep in bass and is one f the best speakers I have heard. I think I would get the t 2. And then see if you are even interested in an upgrade to subwoofers. I think you might be surprised. Like I think for 95% of people out there, I think the bass would be considered "full range" where you don't feel like you are missing parts of the instrument - like the double bass or drums. Now if you are really interested in smooth bass and sub 30hz effects then you would want dual subwoofers - but only expensive ones can extend that low and do so well. You would end up spending more on subs than the T2 imo. Like I am talking about a pair of 15" high performance subs. You may be able to get by with two good 12's though like Emotiva's lineup.

Thank you. I am very happy with the T0+. I live in an apartment now and they are perfect. Hopefully we will close on our house the end of next month and my space will be bigger. Even though I just got these I am feeling a bit of upgraditis. Would love to have the T2+.

Well, if you live in an apartment then you definitely want to make and impression with LOUDER speakers.

I have the original T2 and I like them very much. That said, I'd upgrade the sub first and see how the T0's work with it. Since you are going to replace the sub anyway I'd start there. The T2's do have good bass but not as good as a quality sub. |
