Hi all, does anyone have any experience with this retailer? I saw a pair of Yamaha speakers I might be interested on. Thanks in advance. I’ve ordered a few things over the years from Accessories4Less. They are reputable and pretty sure they are authorized retailers for the refurbished electronics they sell. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them if they have something I want. They are located in Orlando, FL if you are a local.

Ok, great, I live in the Bronx, New York, the speakers I saw, for what I want them for, they should be fine, and they are offering free shipping, thanks again.

I ordered a refurbished Marantz processor from them about 7-8 years ago and it is still working fine in my system.

I, personally, have made several purchases from them in the past without regrets or issues and have had no problems with the products that I purchased. However, as with any other retailer, they have their share of dissatisfied and disgruntled clientele. My best advice to you is to read all of their policies and thoroughly understand them before you make your purchase. Pay special attention to their return policies and restocking fees. Your experience will be much more pleasant if you understand what you can expect going in…

I have found The Music Room excellent for preowned equipment; they offer return privileges, a warranty period and very fair prices.

Speakers, why not give them a try- what could go wrong? I almost ordered a pair of Focal bookshelf from them. I had mostly poor results on electronics- Denon DRA395 still working after 2 decades, Denon PMA-2000, Denon DRA-800H 2ch receiver got 2 bad units, Integra 2ch receivers 2 bad of 3, Integra DTR50.4, still useable, but HDMI bd failed shortly after 1 yr. They have good response to customers, all returns were paid, never been treated poorly. What I suspect, many of their products are customer returns, new over-stock repackage and some repaired. I would read online customer reviews of any product to get their reliability first, and would avoid any product that has high failure rates. A4L has good 3 yr warrantees when added to a sale. Would I order from them again? Yes, but would do my homework on the product.
eBay does sell products that are manufacturer refurb'd, sold by that manufacturer and many are over-stock new items repackaged. I got my Sony UBP-X800 at 35% of retail, when the M2 model came out.

I bought something (used, but can't remember what - might have been a preamp) from them years ago and I was impressed with the condition and even more impressed with the boxing/packaging.
Now I'm curious as to what it was. Will maybe look thru my equipment notes later. I do know I got a nice pad of note taking paper with their logo.

Before I checked A4L, I went through Ebay, found good pricing, but the shipping charges were ridiculous, I actually contacted some sellers but they didn't budge on the shipping charge.

Many folks have figured out the shipping is not part of the final value fee when the item sells, so high shipping rates are ways to cheat.

I understand that, but I saw a pair of speakers for $75, and shipping was $157, I mean, come on...

Counting shipping costs as part of the "final value fee basis" is relatively new for eBay. NOTE, HOWEVER, THAT THE SHIPPING COST IS CLEARLY DISPLAYED ON EBAY... SO YOU WON'T BE SURPRISED LATER.Unfortunately actual shipping costs have gone WAY UP recently. If you're shipping something small and heavy the USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes still cost about the same - and are quite economical. However, for anything larger, or for UPS and FedEx, prices are a LOT higher than they used to be. We have grown accustomed to free shipping from many places - like Amazon Prime. And many retail outlets offer relatively low cost shipping. But, as a private individual, if you simply want to ship something via UPS or FedEx, expect to pay a lot more than in the past. I can literally purchase 100 pounds of cat litter, and have it delivered with free shipping, for less than the shipping costs alone would be for me as an individual. And, yes, here at Emotiva, OUR shipping costs have gone way up as well. We can only assume that huge shippers like Amazon are receiving a major discount (although Amazon is now themselves a shipper / delivery service.) Note that, if you sell something through eBay, and ship through them, you do receive a "seller discount" on the shipping. And, yes, this will generally offset the "shipping portion of the final sale fee"... Sellers can also add an arbitrary "handling charge" (you can always check the retail shipping cost on the USPS / UPS / FedEx site.) Also, for what it's worth, if you have a PayPal account, you CAN ship anything you like through them - www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/shipping-centerThey really don't talk about it much, but it is handy, you can print your shipping label online, and I believe you get a bit of a discount. (And it doesn't have to be something you've sold through eBay.) But, all that said, as a private individual, shipping is just a lot more expensive than it used to be. (Again, unless what you have fits in a Priority Mail Flat Rate box... ) Many folks have figured out the shipping is not part of the final value fee when the item sells, so high shipping rates are ways to cheat. Exactly, one seller from Texas told me after I asked her to check shipping, UPS $150, FedEx $57, I said that's ridiculous, she didn't reply, lol...
