I am installing VU meters on the speaker outputs and the VU meters have unbalanced RCA (common ground) inputs. I have measured 22 ohms from the (black) binding post to chassis ground on the XPA-4.
I am thinking of using 1:1, 10K isolation transformers and 20dB attenuators on each output to keep the amplifier outputs isolated. Has anybody tried this method to install VU's on the outputs?
The XPA (black) output is not at chassis ground, but 22 ohms above ground.
