I use Klipsch 12 powered sub. Should I upgrade to SVS. I’ve got my eyes on SVS if/when my Velodyne is no longer serviceable. What speakers are you using with the Klipsch? |

If you do want an SVS subwoofer use the speaker match up tool for the recommended subwoofer match. A good place to start. A free tool on their site.

SVS' performance, price and customer service makes them the best deal out there IMHO. There are other great brands you may want to consider depending on your budget. Hsu Research, Monoprice Monolith and Rythmik are all worthy contenders.

Earlier this year one of the Sledge amps(STA-800D) in one of my twin SVS PB12-Plus subwoofers died on me, SVS replaced it under warranty with an updated model(STA-1200D). Yes more power, better DSP and an app to make/change settings. This prompted me to purchase another to update the other twin subwoofer. It was like getting brand new twin subwoofers all over again. Great customer service, to me, goes a long way. Not to mention making plate amps to upgrade for older models with newer model dimensions and technology. While I'm quite pleased with SVS, if I had to choose another subwoofer manufacturer, SVS along with PowerSoundAudio would get my first look.

The thing is still getting me down to 15hz. without issue, and the plate amp. was updated on the last service with some of the later parts used in the Digital Drive series. No complaints after 21 and a half years!

The SVS I would imagine has more grunt than the Klipsch.
Specs on sub are 110 con,441 max.
So the SVS would have more ? No?
I'm trying to stimulate the earth around my cellar listening area.
30 by 30. Open. House came with large slot car thing. Now music.
