Audioholics also just did a recent review on the 1723 1S and 1723 1V. As part of the 1723 review, I wish they compared them to the 1961 subs as James Larson reviewed both lines; besides specs, simply curious what the bigger brothers bring to the table. Either way, I'm glad to see the good press as it solidifies my impressions of the products and company thus far. Extremely happy with my decision / purchase... zero regrets...

That would’ve been a tough one for me!!! . While I knew that option was coming for Marantz owners, we’re you able to choose different levels of Dirac, ie: DIrac Live and Dirac Live with DLBC?, if so how much were they?

Downloaded and installed Dirac on my MacBook Pro running Ventura 13.0.1; connected my UMIK-1 to my USB C Hub, connected the hub to the Mac and launched Dirac. It located the Marantz Cinema 50 and UMIK-1 without issue, so I loaded the calibration file for the mic. Once loaded, I paused and became confused. In my haste to get things installed and ready, I realized I never updated the Marantz with the required firmware update that enables Dirac. My confusion quickly turned into a huge smile as I recalled setting the Cinema 50 to auto update! Nice, very nice indeed!! I love it when things simply work as they should! I grabbed the mic stand from the closet... just need to wait for the opportunity to run some sweeps and take measurements.

While I knew that option was coming for Marantz owners, we’re you able to choose different levels of Dirac, ie: DIrac Live and Dirac Live with DLBC?, if so how much were they? For Marantz; our options are: Dirac Live Room Correction Limited Bandwidth - $259 Dirac Live Room Correction Full Bandwidth - $99 upgrade from Limited Bandwidth; $359 outright Dirac Live with Bass Control - as of October 2022, the target release is 2024, no price announcement that I am aware of; however, the options will be: - Dirac Live Bass Control Single Subwoofer
- Dirac Live Bass Control multi Subwoofer
In regards to Audyssey MultEQ-X, it is only available for Windows. You'll need a Windows account to purchase through their store and its $199. I have the app, but haven't licensed it yet as I was waiting for Dirac. The iOS app was $19.99, so I grabbed that for my iPad as I didn't want to pay $199 for a Windows app.

Congrats! I employ ancient Egyptian technology, leverage, when I need help with moving heavy objects about. I miss the days of being able to just use pure brute force without the need for more thoughtful maneuvering methods.

I gently flipped it end over end until it cleared the entryway, then I used the old towel under the box method... dragged it into my room... flipped it over, in the entrance to my room and slide it along the carpet until it was closer to the final position. Then my wife walked into the room and asked me if I was alright... she heard me huffing and puffing... we both broke into laughter and I said... sucks getting old huh? I think I would have died if I had to bring it up or down a flight of stairs... well maybe not if my son was home... lmfao

Salamander rack was finally delivered; however, the top and bottom shelves came damaged; box was pretty banged up on this end. Things happen and it's not a ton of damage; however, these things aren't cheap either. Contacted Crutchfield, waiting to hear back on next steps... I told them that I'll take a discount, but replacements are also welcomed.

Exactly why I purchased from Crutchfield... their customer service is fantastic!! Received notification that another pair of panels are on their way to me; should arrive Monday. Looking forward to moving my gear into it and dropping the TV a few more inches... fingers crossed it all works out.

I was going to go DIY; however, I came across these on sale at Amazon, so I figured I'll give them a try. They fit 36 single movie BRs per shelf, so I think they worked out pretty well for my modest 4k BR collection. It's a simple design, 4 screws and done; however, to help avoid any unwanted noises during movie playback, I added self adhesive felt between the shelf and wall. I have another 100 or so standard Blurays boxed up in a closet, so I may purchase additional shelves... we'll see... for now these are basically a little more than an arms length away from the BR player, so rather conveniently located. Shelves on Amazon

Around six bucks organizes 30/40 discs into a book then I just store the original packaging. A few nights of cursing and screaming at the last box set changed that forever. Much easier to kick back and flip through “The book”!

Kinda bummed... the second pair of top and bottom panels from Salamander were delivered with damage; however, this box was worse than the first. After speaking with Crutchfield, I decided to send the entire console back for a refund. Might have to go DIY or purchase local.

When I ordered my Salamander console, it was shipped through a truckline(R&L Carriers) on a pallet where all of the boxes were shrink wrapped together. Everything was in perfect condition, now hearing your experience I'm thinking I may have gotten lucky.
